STORE TOURS

ROME

The store tour programme is an integral part of the International Marketing Forum, designed to showcase the best retailers and stores, the latest marketing initiatives and innovation.

tcc have teamed up with a leading global research agency to develop this year’s store tour programme.

Attendees will have a choice of two store tour packages that will allow for time to explore the stores, speak with the experts and also take in an iconic Roman landmark.

STORE TOUR I

This tour will focus on tradition and variety, heading into the centre of Rome where we will combine new and classical retail stores from the grocery sector and beyond.

These retailers champion the freshest food, support local suppliers and celebrate the very heart of Italian produce and cuisine, proving that experiential trading and retail theatre are very far from new concepts!

Highlights include:

Eataly

Eataly is the largest Italian marketplace in the world, comprising a variety of instore restaurants, food and beverage counters, grocery retail departments and a cookery school. The flagship Rome store is the largest Eataly outlet in the world.

Coin Excelsior and Carrefour Gourmet

This new Carrefour Gourmet food area inside the Coin Excelsior department store is a recent iteration of Carrefour's food-led supermarket concept. This format recently replaced Coin's in-house food concept and is a bold new step forward combining premium quality with local and global products in a small footprint.

Il Mercato di Campo de’ Fiori

One of Rome's open air, traditional markets; largely unchanged for centuries. This is one of the best places to visit to understand how many Roman consumers still buy their fresh produce.

Forno Campo de’ Fiori

In the Roman history "Forno Campo de Fiori" has always been a symbol and a place of aggregation. Since 1970 the current owners have been continuing the ancient tradition of the handicraft bread-making, based on the selection of raw materials and a particular care of each phase of the manufacture to guarantee always the high quality of their own products.

Simply

Simply Market is the supermarket chain of the Auchan Group. Its stores are located in the most populated areas of cities.
